Touch Wood
Stepping inside the office situated in Dubai, the design dialogue becomes instantly apparent through the sheer openness of the space. The company focuses on the harvest, replant and process of timber, exporting the products to India and Middle Eastern markets.
The interior is composed of large, interconnected halls which have multiple height spaces depending on its functions. The entrance lobby features voluminous vertical height which extends almost to the full height of the building. A mix of vaulted and molded ceiling structures grants the office its corporate identity as well as a unique sculptural touch.
Lighting is integrated into the design in multiple ways. Perforated partitions of wood fused with glazing found in the conference rooms while a smaller meeting room is visually striking with an edgy chandelier.
Each of the workstation areas, the discussion rooms, conference room and multi-functional space are based upon the client’s brief and is individual in identity and arranged organically forming an architectural interior with a composition of varying volumes.
