A Sensorial Experience
While pursuing the objectives of worship and dissemination, the Lighthouse Evangelism church is envisioned to be a community space to offer a wide range of educational programs and cultural activities for visitors of all ages.
An auditorium is necessary to open up the institution to the community and allow it to play a larger role in reaching out to the community. Light is a major inspiration that results in the integration of forty exterior high-end architectural lights to accompany each service. Against a clean modernist concrete façade, the architectural lighting across four levels high serves to enhance the connection between the church and the public, accentuating the dynamism of the cruciform composition and allowing passers-by a visual glimpse of the activity happening within.
