Facade of building lit up at night.

”Designing is a multi-faceted form of art in which creative and technical solutions are applied to create a space into a beautiful and functional environment. It’s not just about selling the space or décor, it is about selling the experience as well. The creativity it can exhibit is endless.”

Of Roman Prose

Palatial and grand – this house on Belmont Road is a peek into the elegance of the 18th century and a lesson in neo-classical interiors.

Geometric forms, Greek and Roman details on columns and walls, are the design highlights of this home. Flooring is largely in marble with pattern inlays for contrast as grand entrances to different spaces around the house. Treatments such as carved molding on the ceilings, walls, French windows with damask curtains, golden chandeliers and lace-like iron balustrades are the hallmarks of this house.

This same decadent approach has been taken in the dining room, which features a distinctive double staircase entry, paired with columns that inject gold into the scheme.

Furniture echo the neo-classical approach and is curated to give a grand look in itself, mostly a dash of wood or metal is given on the legs. Veneer and marble are used for the dining table. Perfect pairs of shapely sculptures of human figures and gilded planters flank entryways as spots for art to be enjoyed throughout the house.

A neural palette grounds this opulent style, driving the classical look easily in a modern context.
