As this villa is also a respite with modern facilities to host visiting dignitaries, its architectural framework is focused on preserving the traditional elements while infusing the building with contemporary touches and the local garden landscape.
Elements like inner courtyards, water features and cloistered ceilings are re-contextualised with modern updates. This resulting six-bedroom villa borders one of Suzhou’s most beautiful gardens and serves as a local landmark.
