Shining Star
Dominating the cityscape, Starlight 68 Plaza was designed to become a landmark building that celebrates Jiangbei district as the southern gateway to the city centre.
To give the building a ”feeling of space and light”, the development has a generous glass atrium skylight to bring natural daylight deep into the public spaces of the shopping mall.
The interior design concept complements the strong angular design of the exterior by choosing soft and undulating forms, deliberately avoiding sharp edges. It echoes the softer, tender side of the unique Chongqing community. Similarly, the colour palette veers towards neutrality and is less striking than the exterior to complement its list of tenants.
